I work at a game shop and I’m in charge of running some of the card things. (It’s a comics and card/board game type of game shop) Every week we have this one guy come in to play Pokemon cards. He always seems nice, but I always get the feeling that something’s…wrong. Every time he plays cards, he comments on every other card other people are playing and criticizes the “stupid American names” and how in the anime “everything is much better” etc…today he was going on about how this card is better than the other in the anime or something when he picks up a Pikachu card and says “Pikachu-san is so kawai desuuuuuuu!” For the rest of the time he was there, he was using random broken Japanese phrases. (IE “That card is so baka!” )…It took all of my effort not to crack up. I have a 40 year old weeaboo on my hands and I’m not even sure how it happened.
